Little kids can be a handful to manage but are bundles of joy too. Their abundant energy is something which is hard to compete with and so they need to cool down from time to time in a classroom. Some of the prerequisites of creating such a cooling space are:
Small space near an open window, preferably with trees or plants in view and possibly away from the noise of traffic. A calming scene helps to relax their minds.
Craft materials like crayons, papers, bouncy seats, colourful toys.
Sand timers are a very effective means of holding their attention for a short but dedicated span of 5 minutes each.
Even adults can incorporate this technique at their homes or their office spaces to find some time of peace.
