There are so many consequences of inadequate sleep which affect the well being of the entire body. So,
there are many ways to create a healthy sleep pattern by incorporating some basic habits to our daily
routine, some of which are:
1. Have a ‘calming down’ time before going to bed. Laptops, mobiles or any other digital medium
must be avoided during this time to let the brain soothe.
2. Exercise leads to a good sleeping cycle.
3. Lesser caffeine intake in the afternoon and evening leads to better sleep at night.
4. Eating smaller meals while nearing bedtime reduces any chances of discomfort.
5. Try and expose yourself to natural light in the earlier part of the day to suit the body’s circadian
rhythm.
There are many other comforting habits which might make you sleep better. Identify those and start
practicing them.
